Walking Down Memory Lane: A Tour of Our Military History : Cornell University Veterans Memorials

The Cornell Veterans Colleague Network Group and the Department of Inclusion and Workforce Diversity will be sponsoring a Veterans Presentation and War Memorials Tour.

Saturday, June 6, 10:00 a.m., meet at Barton Hall on the track level by the central stairs.

Join “Walking Down Memory Lane: A Tour of Our Military History,” with the faculty and staff of the Cornell Veterans Colleague Network Group (VCNG), for a family-friendly walking tour of the various war memorials across campus. The walk will start with a short presentation of the various Cornell initiatives and partnerships that support veterans such as the National Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Partnership; Team Red, White, and Blue; and the many accomplishments of the VCNG. All ages are welcome.

The Warrior-Scholar Project is seeking enlisted veterans, or imminently separating service members, with an actionable plan to pursue higher education to attend an intensive college preparatory course. These courses are free of charge with the exception of travel expenses. Students that are still Active have successfully applied for TDY in the past.

We are hosting the meeting at Humphreys so we can participating in the Corned Beef and Cabbage Luncheon fundraiser for United Way ($7 per person) no additional lunch will be provided, only beverages.

Humphreys Service Building B26A Shops Conference Room from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Humphreys Service Building is located on Rt. 366, across from the Hoy Road entrance. There is visitor and permit parking at the building, as well as permit parking at the Oxley lot (depending on permit you have). Bus Routes 82 and 92 serve central campus and come past Humphreys for anyone using that method of transport.
